Course Description

Debate 101 is a beginner-level course designed to introduce students to the art of structured argumentation, persuasive speaking, critical thinking, and competitive debating. Students will learn how to build strong arguments, think analytically, respond to opposing viewpoints, and communicate ideas with confidence.


Through interactive exercises, live debates, speech drills, and practice rounds, students develop the skills required to excel in academic debates, public speaking competitions, leadership programs, and future professional environments. The course serves as the perfect starting point for students who want to participate in competitive debating formats such as WSDC (World Schools Debating Championship) and parliamentary debates.
